Our story
Cosy Air Conditioning Services is a family-owned and operated Brisbane Air Conditioning Company, delivering high-quality residential and commercial installations and maintenance services across South East Queensland.
We are a small business operated and run by two families – Hastings & Varfis. Both directors, Rhys Hastings & Kristian Varfis were long-term employees of the previous owners of Cosy Air Conditioning Services – Koz & Donna Varfis. We pay thanks and gratitude to both Koz & Donna for their support and guidance during both Rhys & Kristian's time as employees, helping them to achieve not only their trade certificates but also helping to train and mould them into the business owners and knowledgeable technicians that they are today.

After years of working extensively in every facet of Cosy Air Conditioning Services, Rhys and Kristian bought the business from their predecessors in 2018. Operating under the strong foundations developed by the previous owners, they have been able to continue providing the great friendly service and reliability that existing customers have grown to expect from Cosy Air.

Kristian Varfis
Kristian is the Co-Owner of Cosy Air Conditioning Services and alongside Rhys worked for the business before acquiring it in 2018. Kristian has developed over 13 years of knowledge and experience within the industry through servicing, repairing and installing in both the domestic and commercial sectors. Throughout his time he has built up a unique set of skills in breakdown diagnostics which has served him well in being able to deliver efficient and economical solutions to our clients.
Kristian prides himself on his strong communication skills and always endeavours to provide an honest and transparent experience for all clients. He strives to keep clients updated on progress and results as and when they happen. This is a core value of Cosy Air that Kristian has instilled in all of the company's employees and something that he continues to practice on a daily basis.
What do you feel sets Cosy Air apart from other companies?

Rhys Hastings
Rhys is the of Co-Owner of Cosy Air Conditioning Services, and like Kristian, he spent an extensive period learning and developing within the Cosy Air family ahead of its acquisition. Rhys has more than 10 years of experience in the industry, working in all facets of this industry alongside Kristian. ​

Incredibly ethical, Rhys is most proud of the client-centred approach that Cosy Air has developed and is known for. He is passionate about helping source tailored solutions for his clients that are efficient, economical and cost-effective.

Rhys is a self-proclaimed OCD when carrying our client works - there are no corners cut, and he instils this level of workmanship through the Cosy Air team.

What are your hopes for Cosy Air?
We endeavour to expand our commercial portfolio while maintaining the integral values we have adopted and implemented within Cosy Air Conditioning Services. Our established company has built a reputation across South East Queensland for delivering a service based on a foundation of integrity and trust, and we do our utmost to ensure those values are instilled within our growing team. As we continue to grow, we continually strive to provide our team with an environment in which they can learn, grow and achieve their own career goals.
